DIGI-licious Digitizing Course

CLASSES WILL BE MARCH 9- MARCH 23

Have you ever wanted to know more about merging, editing, or digitizing?

Whether your goal is to create more unique to you designs or you are considering the idea of starting your own digitizing business you are in the right place!

Level 1

Level One focuses on entry level digitizing skills and techniques including understanding your software tools, stitch techniques, and best practices for different stitch types. You will learn how to create simple designs in multiple stitch outlines and fills styles. Upon completion participants will have the skill set to create simple applique and embroidery designs using a variety of stitches and fills while learning the different design techniques such as auto digitize, trace purchased clipart, and hand draw designs with success. The stitch focus will be on both traditional and decorative stitches such as a simple run, bean stitch, applique stitches, motifs, sashiko, and sketch fill. Basic information such as legalities, best practices, and etiquette when using purchased graphics will also be discussed throughout the course.

• Instruction will be delivered over five pre-recorded video sessions and a group Q&A each Tuesday and Thursday week of the course.
• A private FB group for show off posts, questions, and any extras we may add!
• Each session will remain in a library for easy lifetime access.
• Homework: Digitizing skill practice between classes using the skill specific art provided. 
• Digilicious Level 1 Certification! The last class will be an evaluation of your work!Y ou will be asked to send in a design that you made using all of your learned skills and you will be an official graduate after completing this certification lesson.

Software Requirements: You will need to have digitizing software for the course. Please have your chosen software purchased and installed when the class begins. Spots will limited to maintain high quality personalized instruction.

Level 2

Level Two is a building block where we will take a deeper dive into the skills learned in level 1 and bring the focus to finer details and the use of higher level tools. You will learn how to create a multiple stitch type design collection, eliminate unnecessary overlap, batch convert, and export as an svg or vector. Basic information such as legalities, best practices, and etiquette when using purchased graphics will also be discussed throughout the course.
